SEAT met with Mary Beth Tinker, the namesake of its federal policy fellowship

Five Days. Eleven Students. Our SEAT on Capitol Hill.

SEAT brought nearly a dozen students to Washington last week for our Mary Beth Tinker Federal Policy Fellowship, named in honor of the longtime student rights advocate who brought her free speech case to the Supreme Court 60 years ago.

Today, we advocate in her footsteps: We met with 300+ congressional offices and hosted 100+ attendees for a policy briefing and reception as we pushed for policy solutions on youth mental health, firearm safety, school funding, and civil rights.
